EK’s Zach Wahl will be speaking at the upcoming eLearning Guild conference in Orlando, FL on March 23rd. Zach will be speaking alongside Dale Carpenter, Director of Distance Learning for the National Park Service (NPS), presenting a case study on the NPS Common Learning Portal (CLP).
Last year, Dale and Zach presented at the Learning Solutions Conference regarding the newly designed CLP, which provides integrated access via an intuitive interface to Formal Learning, Informal Learning, and Social Learning Materials. The CLP has now been deployed. This session will provide a case study on how the CLP has been adopted, metrics on how it is being used, and a discussion on next steps.
The session will continue the discussion started at the conference last year, detailing successes and challenges with the CLP since it was deployed, detailing adoption metrics, and discussing plans moving forward to incorporate other new functionality. The session will also provide background on how NPS drove adoption and education for the CLP and the important role that change management played as part of this effort. Overall, the session will provide a detailed case study on the design, build, operations, and enhancements of this cutting edge learning system, available to all National Park Service employees.
