Enterprise Knowledge (EK) will once again have a significant presence at KMWorld 2026 in Washington, D.C., from November 16 to 19. As one of the world’s leading knowledge management conferences, KMWorld and its co-located events Taxonomy Boot Camp, Enterprise Search & Discovery, Text Analytics Forum, and Enterprise AI World feature four days of thought leadership from industry experts to highlight organizations with innovative digital solutions that are shaping the future.
This year, ten EK thought leaders will present. Spanning all four days, EK’s sessions highlight the firm’s broad expertise across semantic layer frameworks, AI readiness, taxonomy design, knowledge graphs, and risk management.
The full schedule of EK-led events is below:
November 16:
- Bridging Knowledge, Data, & AI: Semantic Layer Intelligence Framework, featuring Zach Wahl and Lulit Tesfaye.
- This workshop covers the purpose, key components, and design approaches for implementing semantic layers.
- Semantics in the Age of AI: Taxonomy Design for Humans & Machines, featuring Bonnie Griffin.
- Discover three shifts shaping modern taxonomy practice and how taxonomists identify the semantic models best suited for various use cases.
November 17:
- Semantic Shark Tank, featuring Zach Wahl.
- Participants will collaborate to crowdsource and pitch inventive taxonomy, metadata, and AI solutions to a panel of expert “Semantic Sharks” for feedback and potential investment.
- Bridging the Gap Between Knowledge-Centered Service & AI at Adobe, featuring Maddie Glerum and co-presented by Rosanna Stephens, Senior Knowledge Manager of People, Places & Culture Transformation at Adobe.
- Learn how knowledge management and semantic design lay the groundwork for AI readiness, mitigating hallucinations and driving higher enterprise AI adoption.
November 18:
- Connecting Structured & Unstructured Data Through Semantic Layers to Power AI Platforms, featuring Sara Nash and Ben Cross.
- Learn to design scalable semantic architectures that connect structured and unstructured data, based on real-world implementations with leading sovereign wealth funds.
- Managing Risk & Financial Services With AI & Semantics: A Practical Case Study, featuring Joe Hilger and Rachel Carrier.
- Drawing on financial services case studies, this session explores using semantic technologies, GenAI, and knowledge graphs to efficiently identify risks across large datasets.
November 19:
- How to Augment Taxonomy Change Management With Statistics, featuring Urmi Majumder and Kyle Garcia.
- Speakers share data-driven, automated methods and real-world case studies to help organizations measure semantic drift and evaluate taxonomy fit for auto-tagging.
