Philanthropy

EK is active within our community. We encourage philanthropy to make a positive difference both on a local and global scale. In support of this goal, we’ve chosen to partner with several charities and nonprofit organizations that are doing great work to accomplish goals that we’re particularly passionate about and promote a philanthropy mindset.

We seek to build long-term relationships with these organizations, offering not just financial support, but also our time and expertise. To encourage and grow our philanthropy efforts, EK offers an employee benefit program for each member of our team to volunteer for our partner organizations in lieu of work. We see this as an important part of our commitment, demonstrating we will “show up” to support our partner organizations.

We selected our current philanthropic partners based on their mission and alignment with EK’s own areas of interest, the fact that they are all highly effective in what they do, and our ability to make a difference with them.

Linden

Linden Resources is a Washington D.C. metropolitan area nonprofit committed to providing meaningful employment and development opportunities to people with disabilities, as well as wounded veterans. Each year, Linden Resources supports nearly 450 individuals with barriers to being employed through job placement and in-house employment opportunities, including contact centers, print/assembly/mail, fulfillment, and secure document destruction for government and commercial clients. EK volunteers their time in preparing these individuals for entry into the workforce by conducting mock interviews and providing guidance on how to pursue professional opportunities.
