Philanthropy

EK is active within our community, both on a local and global scale. In addition to encouraging our team members to volunteer their time by providing paid volunteer time to all employees, we have carefully selected a short list of philanthropic partners for whom we donate our time and resources.

We select our philanthropic partners based on their mission and alignment with EK’s own areas of interest, the fact that they are all highly effective in what they do, and our ability to make a difference with them.

Girls on the Run Northern Virginia teaches essential life skills, which are the cornerstone of their research-based programs. Meeting in small teams, trained volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. Each program includes fun and interactive lessons to meet the unique needs of participants of all abilities and backgrounds. At the end of the season, all team members complete a 5K, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.

“In a world where society still tries to tell girls that they can’t, we couldn’t be more grateful to have the team at Enterprise Knowledge to show them that they can! Not only does Enterprise Knowledge contribute financial support, they talk the talk by sending encouraging signage out to our 5K course, they also walk the walk by getting out and getting active on behalf of our local girls. Because of Enterprise Knowledge, this year’s participants gained new skills like empathy, communication, and positive self-talk – skills that they’ll use for life. They also know that someone is in their corner, willing to cheer them on toward becoming their best selves. And most of all, they now have the knowledge that they can take on any challenge, whether now, or in the future. Thank you for your continued support and sending our girls on this path of empowerment!“

EK also creates multiple opportunities for our team members to identify philanthropic organizations that matter to them. Throughout the year, we run engagement events where each employee may choose to participate, resulting in EK donating to the philanthropic organization of their choice. This initiative not only strengthens our team’s bond but also enhances our collective impact on the communities we serve.

EK is always looking for new ways to support the community and get involved. If you’re looking for a philanthropic partner, please contact us!
