Enterprise Knowledge CEO Zach Wahl will be participating in an upcoming panel presented by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce: Nonprofit Forum: The Changing Face of Volunteerism. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 19, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at WETA-TV 26/90.9 FM.
The volunteerism forum will focus on providing insights into how businesses are utilizing nonprofits in the community for volunteer opportunities, and how nonprofits are communicating and leveraging that information to receive volunteer help based on their needs. The panelists include representatives from both businesses and nonprofits, which will allow every attendee the chance to take away valuable knowledge from both industry perspectives to apply within their own organization.
EK has been an active participant in support and engagement with non-profits. EK offers paid volunteer time to all employees, which has been used to volunteer with a number of local charities and EK’s philanthropic partners. It also provides pro bono consulting and coaching for one of EK’s closest philanthropic partners, Bridges to Independence. EK also provides financial assistance to Bridges to Independence and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts Children’s Education Program, amongst other non-profits.
Wahl stated, “Ingrained in EK’s culture is a commitment to service, both on a local and global level. This is part of our identity and serves as a strong motivation and reward to our employees. It is my job to support that so the community can best benefit from our efforts.”
